Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation
Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation
I think Sephora makeup line doesn't get enough credit but there are some hidden gem in the Sephora line like this foundation for one. When I purchased this foundation they only had a few shades to choose from. Recently they launched more shades which now makes it total of 9 shades to choose from. Its packaged in a spray can bottle I personally don't have any issue applying this foundation due the spray can packaging. However one thing I don't like is there is no telling when you'll be running out of the foundation since its not your typical glass bottle packaging.
Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation in Tan & Honey
You might be wondering why do I have two different shades I bought Tan first and it was the only match for me at that time when they had very few options to choose from. Tan is not my shade at all its like a pinkish brownish shade but during summer time when I get darker I can get away with the shade Tan. I balance it out with a lighter shade powder and highlighters. I know that's a lot of work for a foundation to work for you but you see this foundation is amazing it has a matte finish, it lasts long I get a good 10-11 hour of wear. It photographs really well and its medium to full coverage I can get away with two to three layers without looking cakey. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin or break me out which is a big factor for me. I recently purchased Honey its warm toned it looks a little orangeish at first but when I blend it out it looks just fine. I use a Sigma F80 flat top kabuki brush to apply this foundation. The trick is to shake the bottle really well and spray it as gently as you can from 6 to 7 inches away from your face that way it doesn't get on your clothes, hair and etc. This foundation dries very quickly so you have to work a little fast. I use the stamping technique to apply this foundation it helps to blend out the foundation seamlessly.
I took this picture in the store lighting as you can see Medium is too beige, Fawn is way too light for me, and last but not least Honey is a way better match for me. I hope Sephora works on making more shades for ethnic skin tones.

I tried to photograph both shades in various lighting so you can get a better look at the shades. I have combination oily skin and I didn't get any dry patches if you have dry skin I suggest you prep your skin really well since it is a matte finish foundation.
Overall
I'm very impressed with how amazingly this foundation works on my combination oily skin also you cant beat the price. This foundation reminds me of the Dior Airflash Spray Foundation which is quiet expensive. Another great thing about this foundation is the expire date is under the foundation bottle so you'll know when to toss it out. Sephora you have out done yourself this stuff is simply amazing.
