The Makeupshow NYC 2017 Info

It's time for the grand show called The MakeupShow! The show will take place at the Metropolitan Pavilion on May 7th (9:00 am- 6:00 pm) & 8th (9:00 am - 5:00 pm). Tickets (one day $62 & two days $82) are available online and can be purchased at Themakeupshow.com. If you don't know what The MakeupShow is about, I'm here to guide you through it. MakeupShow is unlike any other show, and you must be a professional working or studying in the beauty industry. Along with your ticket, you'll also be asked to show your professional credentials at the door. This year there will be some amazing keynote speakers such as James Vincent, Romero Jennings, Ryan Burke to name a few. Last month I had a one-of-a-kind hair care experience at the acclaimed Rossano Ferretti salon in NYC. Upon arrival, I was seated and asked if I would like a drink I asked for water and as I sipped on my water, I glanced around the reception area which was full of smiley faces. After only a few minutes of waiting a sweet and cheerful lady named Anna came to greet me, she took a brief look at my hair and decided I need a good hydrating treatment/deep wash. She took me to the back and sat me down for the wash she instructed the guy what she wanted, and we were off to washing my frizzy dehydrated hair. I've been to many salons in NYC and let me tell you this was the most relaxing hair wash ever! He was very gentle as he washed my hair and he then proceeded to massage my scalp for a good five minutes, followed by a hot towel wrapped around my hair by the time we were done I was so excited for my much-needed hair cut. I must admit I was equally scared and excited since this was a new salon I wasn't sure if I was going to leave the salon happy or disappointed. To my surprise as soon as she started zooming the scissors I knew I'm in good hands she knew exactly how much to cut and how to give my lifeless hair some volume. As we were talking Mr. Ferretti stopped by to introduce himself he was very pleasant and charming I was impressed. Once we were done with the cut and blowdry I couldn't believe how good my hair looked I was more than happy with my haircut. Before I left Mr. Ferretti took me the back room which had a killer skyscraper view. Then we talked about the Parma Haircare line, and he insisted I feel the texture of the Soothing Serum and Oils, which I was more than happy to oblige. I loved how the products felt the oil specially it's amazing and it completely absorbed within a few seconds. He then explained the products are formulated with all organic Botanical ingredients and Active Biotechnology that responds to the natural needs of every hair type. I was blown away by the products and made a quick note of what was used on my hair cause by now I've had already decided I need it all! 

I regretted not taking my camera with me so please bare with me I took a few shots of the salon on my phone which doesn't do any justice to the beautiful upscale Madison Ave Salon. He owns 20 salons around the world including London, Maldives, Mumbai and more. It's safe to say the man knows hair like the back of his hand so does his stylists and he takes great pride in his products as he should cause they're brilliant.

I left the salon feeling fabulous my hair never looked this good it was the perfect length, and even my one-year-old hair color was revived. The level of professionalism of this salon is something to be praised about. I don't expect anything more or less cause to get your hair touched by Mr. Ferretti himself would cost a $1000 bucks, and although that's a bit steep in price for a haircut, you'll get one of a kind luxurious experience. Now I may not be able to justify that price, but I'm not judging those who can cause like I said it was truly an amazing experience. I received two products from the Parma line, and I couldn't wait to test them out. 

Rossano Ferretti Parma Prodigio Regenerating Treatment

This Regenerating Treatment is meant to help improve the years of heat styling and UV damage. Hydrolyzed Keratin and Amaranthus boost shine and elasticity, while Saccharide Isomerate and Olive extract help retain moisture over time. This is ideal for dry, damaged and color-treated hair. This is formulated with Panthenol which reduces split ends, adds shine and improves the overall texture of your hair. I apply this on my damn hair from the roots to ends of my hair, and I leave it on for 10-15 min then rinse it off and proceed with shampoo and conditioner. The consistency is thick and creamy it deeply penetrates the hair shaft leaving it hydrated and adding shine and softness to the hair. Prodigio Regenerating Treatment ($98 for 6.8 Fl. oz.)  is available at Netaporter.

Rossano Ferretti Parma Grandioso Volumising Shampoo

I always look for ways to add volume to my hair, and this Grandioso Volumising Shampoo ($39 for 6.8 Fl. oz.) did just that. This shampoo is suitable for all hair it helps restores hair health by hydrating the scalp while strengthening and protecting each strand. This daily formula is enriched with Creatine, Macadamia and Avocado oils to condition, regenerate and smooth the cuticles. Ginseng and Bamboo extracts contain nourishing anti-aging properties that turn back the clock on damage. The consistency is very lightweight, and a little goes a long way it left my hair squeaky clean, volumized and silky smooth. Overall

I really enjoyed the experience along with the products which are made in Italy with love off course. I love the minimal packaging and not to mention everything smells amazing! I can't wait for this line to launch at Sephora.
