Kiehl's launched two new masques earlier this year, I immediately picked up the Turmeric & Cranberry Seed masque. It was an easy pick, Turmeric is known for its healing properties it soothes your skin and helps fade dark spots. In some culture Turmeric is used on the bride before the wedding ceremony, its supposed to soften and give a golden yellowish hue to the brides skin. Turmeric is also rich in antioxidants, its anti-inflammatory, its great for acne blemishes and balancing the skin, the list goes on and on. That's not the only ingredients that contain in this incredible Energizing Radiance masque, there is more! This masque contains Cranberry seed oil, which is also high in antioxidants and the crushed cranberry seeds are supposed to exfoliate the skin gently. This mask is Kaolin and Bentonite Clay base, it cleanses and helps controls over the production of sebum. There is a strong minty fruity scent, it didn't bother me I didn't even notice it after a few minutes. At first, I had a little issue with removing the mask but I think I found a way, that works the best for me. I usually leave a mask on longer than the instruction suggests but with this mask I highly recommend you stick the rule, cause if you leave it on longer than 10 minutes it can be a little hard to remove. I apply a thin layer and leave it on for no more than 10 min but I still find the Cranberry seeds are a little difficult to remove. The mask will tighten and you will know its completed and its time to rinse off. I would suggest using this mask right before you shower it's much easier to remove it that way.
Overall
There is nothing not to like about this mask! I love how my skin feels after I use this mask it instantly brightens, firms and softens my skin. I just wish it came in a tube form instead of a jar just cause of hygienic issues. Also, you can't beat the price, you're getting quite a lot of product. I've been using this twice a week for the past two months and I still have 75% of product left in the jar, so a little goes a long way. I'm loving this masque so much I want to try the Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque too. | TOM FORD UTRA-RICH LIP COLOR Let's talk about the new Ultra-Rich Lip Colors from the Tom Ford 2016 Soleil Collection. These Lip Colors are packaged in beautiful white and gold lipstick tubes. There are total of Six shades; Solar Affair, Les Mepris, Purple Noon, Revolve Around Me, Temptation Waits & Aphrodite. I picked up three out of the six lipsticks, I kind of surprised myself when I purchased Purple Noon cause I'm not into dark shades. This new formula is very smooth and creamy, for a opaque finish you'd have to apply a second layer. These lipsticks glides on the lips easily and there is a light vanilla scent but its not too overpowering. I didn't find them hydrating nor drying but they were pretty comfortable on the lips. The pigmentation is medium to full coverage, you can layer it or you can wear it as a sheer wash of color with just one gentle sweep application. I find the Ultra-Rich lip colors very similar to the Sheer Lip Colors from last years collection. I got 4-5 hours of wear before it started fading, also The Ultra-Rich lip colors dries down to a satin finish after a hour or so. I'm officially a big fan of glossy lipsticks, if you are looking for a high shine lipsticks for this summer these might be the perfect thing for you! |

Temptation Waits- Its a brown shade with gold shimmers. This dark nude fits right into the trend that we have going on right now.
Revolve Around Me- Its a lovely peachy nude shade with some gold shimmers, Its a nice nude that everyone can wear. I would suggest using a lip liner with this lipstick if you have medium tan skin like me so it doesn't look so pale.
Purple Noon- Its a beautiful berry shade with multi shimmers. It looks very dark in the tube but it comes off lighter when applied on the lips. It did leave a light magenta stain behind.

When I saw Revolve Around Me I immediately thought of Sable Smoke. After I swatched them side by side I realized Revolve Around me is less peachy and more beige than Sable Smoke.

I don't really wear berry shade much hence the only one comparison swatch. Purple Noon didn't work for me it made my complexion darker and dull. I can try to use it as a light stain but that defeats the purpose of a high shine lipstick so this was a let down for me.
Overall
I like the consistency of these lipsticks if you liked the Sheer Lip Colors you'll like these too. All though Purple Noon didn't work for me it is a pretty shade its just not for me. Temptation Waits is also a good choice if you're into dark nudes. If I have to pick one out of the three I purchased I would go with Revolve Around Me.
Hey guys I attended Imats NY and I was so excited about this years Imats. I got to meet someone I really admire, I follow her tips and tricks on a daily basis. This year Lisa Eldridge did a live Q&A, I made sure I got there on time to catch her segment. She also did a book signing, which I almost missed but I made it just in time. If you haven't checked out her book yet please do, the cover alone caught my attention its a really good read.
As usual I was well prepared made my list ahead and I got everything off my list, except for one palette which was sold out. I didn't have Temptu on my list, however I was always curious about this little device. It was an impulsive purchase but I don't regret purchasing this at all, I love the idea of not having to use a brush. Which means less brushes to clean! I will test out this innovative little device before I come to a conclusion. Another brand I was excited about is Hakuhodo brushes, I love their brushes! I love the quality of these brushes its very soft and feels luxurious. I regret not purchasing more of their face brushes, next time I will definitely purchase a few more. Let's go ahead and look at the goodies but I must warn you this post is very pic heavy.

This Souffle sounds like a dream, it promises to give you a instant glow and much more. Believe it or not this is what I was most intrigued about from the entire Tom Ford Soleil Collection. I was a bit confused if this was meant for face or body, so I spoke to a beauty advisor. I was informed it is indeed a face product. I was a little skeptical to slather this all over my face cause I have sensitive acne prone skin. After contemplating I decided to give it a go, I applied it on my cheeks and forehead. Once I applied foundation, concealer and powder the shimmer was nonexistent. The consistency is a little bit thicker than a regular foundation primer. However it sinks in quickly leaving your skin hydrated and luminous. My foundation went on very smooth and as the day went by I did get a little dewy. There is a light fragrance but its very subtle almost unnoticeable. I have oily to combination skin, this might be a little too moisturizing for me but I can see someone with dry skin loving this product. Lets have a close look at the beautiful micro shimmer.

I had high hopes for this product, due to my skin type this might not be the best moisturizer/primer for me. I also wonder how this will perform during warmer season, it could be a bit too much. It didn't cause any breakouts or irritate my skin so that's something to take into consideration. Despite the glowing sheen and the rich creamy formula I still prefer my HG Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. In conclusion Tom Ford Radiant Moisture Souffle can be a hit or miss product depending on your skin type.

I love the Tom Ford summer collections, the white and gold packaging is absolutely gorgeous.There are lots of repromotes this year, Pink Sand ( review here), Cream and Powder Eye Colors in Naked Bronze and Golden Peach, Fire Lust Illuminator, Terra and Gold Dust Bronzing Powders are all repromotes. I purchased both cheek compacts but I don't have Bicoastal yet, its backordered and very hard to track down. There are six new Moisturecore Lip colors, Bronzing Primer, new Cream Cheek Color in Pieno Sole, New Bronzing Powder in Bronze Age and five new formulated Ultra-Rich Lip Color. I'm currently testing out the Ultra-Rich Lip Colors and the Radiant Moisture Souffle, reviews will be up soon.

Apologies for missing in action from the blog world but I'm back! Today I want to talk about The Louboutin Lipsticks I picked up Rouge Louboutin and Rococotte. Let's start with the packaging, these gorgeous lipsticks are housed in a black glossy cardboard box with velvet red interior. The lipsticks come with a silk carrying pouch to prevent it from scratches. These heavy lipsticks that resemble elixir vials also come with a silk ribbon which you can tie and wear as a necklace. The packaging was inspired by Babylonian Architecture, the design captures the ornate aesthetics of middle eastern antiquities and the art deco movement. The details are quite fascinating, the crown-like cap is painted red inside just like the soles of the Louboutin shoes. These lipsticks are quite heavy, kind of like the Guerlain Rouge G lipsticks. These lipsticks come in three different finishes; sheer voile, velvet matte, and silky satin. I went with the velvet matte finish. Overall, there are a total of nine velvet matte shades, nine sheer voile shades, and twenty silky satin shades.

I noticed all three finishes have the classic Rouge Louboutin red lipstick. All three Rouge Louboutin lipsticks are packaged in a black tube with silver and gold crown cap. They claim these lipsticks are nondrying, intensely pigmented, full coverage with just one stroke and last with comfort without feathering up to 4 hours. I have to admit all of those claims are true except for one. I had to go over it with a second layer to get an opaque finish. There is a slight sheen to it but over time it dries down to a completely matte finish. The finish of these velvet matte lipsticks are truly velvety, it glides on the lips smoothly. I'm really impressed with the wear time it lasted for, which was about 7-8 hours. I did have lunch and drinks and it held up pretty well, it left a soft red stain behind. These lipsticks are formulated without paraben, mineral oil and phthalate. It contains natural oils and seed butter, it enhances moisture for up to four hours.

Rouge Louboutin - A beautiful red shade. In my opinion, I feel that this lipstick will look very flattering on all skin tones.

Rococotte- A really pretty mauve rosy shade. I think this one will show up differently depending on your skin tone.
Final verdict:
I will admit when I purchased these lipsticks it was mostly about the packaging, but after using them I have to say Louboutin really got the formula down to a T! I love these lipsticks, but I don't think its something you have to get in a hurry. Aside from the fact that they aren't labeled, they also cannot be stood up. I might splurge in the future and grab a few lipsticks from the other two finishes. If you're a lipstick collector or don't mind forking out $90 bucks for a luxurious lipstick then you must check these out.
