Product Info:
Under the artistic direction of Nicolas Degennes, Givenchy has created Gloss Interdit Vinyl, a gloss with medium coverage for high-shine, naturally-voluminous-looking lips. Shiny and luminous to the extreme, this formula offers a magnetic and sensual result. Thanks to the black rose oil in the formula, lips remain soft and supple with an absolute feeling of comfort. The foam end of this innovative applicator is stamped with a G to take up more product for a pleasant, even spread of color over the lips. G for Givenchy, G for Glossy, G for Glamour—Gloss Interdit Vinyl signs a new way of applying lip gloss. At once simple and precise, it sheathes the lips in dazzling color with a single stroke, making it a must-have for beauty addicts everywhere.
Givenchy recently launched some amazing new products their newest addition is the Gloss Interdit Vinyl. There are a total of twelve shades and Givenchy was kind of enough to send me three shades for review purpose. As usual, Givenchy did a phenomenal job with the packaging these glosses are housed in a sleek tube with a doe foot applicator that has the most intricate G stamped. Despite the beautifully stamped applicator, I did find it a bit hard to work with. It's hard to contour the lips perfectly since the applicator doesn't pick up the product evenly so, I have to be more careful with the application. The texture is amazing it's non-sticky, no bleeding and it feels very comfortable on the lips, it also has a high shine. The coverage is sheer to medium with one swipe you get a sheer wash of color or you can apply a few coats for an opaque finish. All three shades have beautiful shimmer however, it's undetectable once applied to the lips, with the exception of Rouge Thiller. There is also a strong fragrance although, It doesn't linger on I can see this being an issue for some who are sensitive to strong fragrances. One other thing I noticed there's an odd taste to the gloss I can only describe it as being soapy and I'm not a big fan of that.

12 Rouge Thriller- a warm undertone red that has a lustrous finish. This is highly pigmented and I love how plumped my lips look with this gloss. It lasted about 4-5 hours before it started fading and it did leave a light stain behind.
09 Crazy In Rose- a milky pastel pink shade, this is a great option if you're not into bold, bright colors. This shade is not as pigmented as Rouge Thriller but with two coats you can achieve an medium coverage. This shade lasted about 3-4 hours before it started fading and it left a light pale pink stain behind.
16 Noir Revelateur- this is made-to-measure color booster that reacts to skin’s pH for a result that is totally different from one woman to another. Noir Révélateur is an audacious shade that enhances the natural tone of lips with an enigmatic depth. I love this shade its such a unique gloss that looks dark in the tube, however, once applied it turns into a beautiful light berry shade on the lips. It's a very wearable shade, you can wear it alone or apply it over any lipstick or lipliner to intensify its color. It lasted 4-5 hours before it started fading and it left a pretty pink stain behind.

Final Verdict:
I'm not a big fan of glosses but lately, I do find myself reaching for glosses more instead of liquid lipsticks. I think it has to do with the weather being so cold and drying and these glosses are surprisingly very hydrating. The Givenchy glosses have been on rotate for the past few weeks, I absolutely love the formula it's not tacky, it's beautifully pigmented and the shades are very easy to wear. These spectacular shimmering shades of Givenchy Gloss Interdit Vinyl have the options for both neutral or bold lipgloss lovers. If I had to pick one shade I would say my favorite shade is Rouge Thriller, it performed the best out of all three and I think this red gloss will flatter all skintone.
