February Beauty Favorites

February-Beauty-Favorites

Today I'm featuring 8 products that I've reached for the most during February. I've been using retinol religiously for the past few months, and during the peeling and drying phase, I kept my beauty routine pretty minimal. I mostly reached for hydrating cream products cause my skin was quite irritated last month. Now, let's begin with my monthly faves!

Laura-Mercier-Tinted-Moisturizer-SPF-30

1- Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer-Blurring

Laura Mercier recently launched their new primers, and my favorite at the moment is Pure Canvas silicone-free Blurring primer*.  I've been an avid fan of their previous primers, and I've used them for years. My favorites are the hydrating and illuminating primers. The new primers are formulated with skin-loving ingredients, and it addresses specific skin concerns. I have very oily t-zone, and this oil-free, oil-absorbing primer helps mattify your skin, minimizes the appearance of pores and a soft-focus effect while extending the wear of makeup. The creamy texture helps the product glide on the skin with ease. I would say this is an ideal primer for oily skin.

2- Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30

I've been on a tinted moisturizer kick lately! I was so happy to be reunited with one of my favorite tinted moisturizers- Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Spf 30*. The reformulated tinted moisturizer is available in 20 shades- I use the shade 4w1 Tawny. It has a creamy consistency, I love the sheer to light coverage with a dewy finish, and it does a pretty good job at covering redness on my cheeks and some acne old scars, It also doesn't cling to any dry patches or get cakey. I like to use my fingers to apply the product it gives a beautiful natural skin-like finish. It has great staying power, however, if you have oily skin I definitely recommend finishing off with a setting powder. This is the perfect base product for the no-makeup, makeup look.

3- Sisley Paris Phyto-Touche Sun Glow Bronzing Gel Powder

Sisley Paris Sun Glow Bronzing Gel Powder* gives you a natural, sun-kissed glow. It has a soft, sheer wash of color with a hint of shimmer. The unique finely-milled formula blends seamlessly on the skin. I love to use this for my daytime looks it looks absolutely gorgeous when the light hits on your cheeks. It is a bit pricy, but it's totally worth it!

4- Kjaer Weis Sun Touched Cream Blush

This cream blush converted me into a cream blush lover! Sun Touched is the perfect warm, peachy pink shade, and it's very flattering on my tan skin complexion. It is highly pigmented, and I've been using this blush pretty much every day. I have a full review on this blush here

5- Laura Mercier Caviar Stick

Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks* has been my go-to lately. These are so convenient and easy to apply when you're on-the-go. I love the shade Cocoa, it's the perfect rich chocolaty brown shade. I like to use this as a base, or layer for a soft smokey eye look, or to create a winged liner. It's highly pigmented, long-wearing, crease-resistant, and it's very easy to blend, I like to use my fingers to blend out the product. I also love the shades- Rosegold, Moonlight, Sand Glow, and Burnished Bronze.

Chanel-Rouge-Allure-Ink-168-Serenity

6- Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte Lip Colour

I haven't purchased anything from Chanel in a while, but during my birthday I decided to treat myself and I ended up purchasing 168 Serenity Rouge Allure Ink. I noticed this shade instantly amongst all the reds. It's a beautiful mauve rosy shade with a mousse-like texture. The non-drying, lightweight, smooth formula glides on like a gloss but dries down to a velvet-like finish. It's not very long-lasting, which is the only issue I have with the formula, and I also wish there were more nude shades available.
7- Decorte Beauty Rouge Velvet Lipstick

Decorte Beauty, kindly gifted a few of their Rouge Velvet Lipsticks, although the name says velvet,  it has a more silky, satin-like finish. I love the shade BE80- it's a rosy nude shade. It's super-pigmented, hydrating, and long-lasting. It's pretty similar in color to Chanel 168, so depending on my mood, I pretty much rotated between these two lipsticks.

8- Merle Norman Wicked Lash Mascara

This is a new brand to me, and I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. The Wicked Lash Mascara* has an oversized brush, and it adds volume, lengthens, and it doesn't weigh my lashes down. It also doesn't smudge or flakes, with just two coats, my lashes look full and long. It's definitely a keeper!
