1- Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer-Blurring
Laura Mercier recently launched their new primers, and my favorite at the moment is Pure Canvas silicone-free Blurring primer*. I've been an avid fan of their previous primers, and I've used them for years. My favorites are the hydrating and illuminating primers. The new primers are formulated with skin-loving ingredients, and it addresses specific skin concerns. I have very oily t-zone, and this oil-free, oil-absorbing primer helps mattify your skin, minimizes the appearance of pores and a soft-focus effect while extending the wear of makeup. The creamy texture helps the product glide on the skin with ease. I would say this is an ideal primer for oily skin.
2- Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30
I've been on a tinted moisturizer kick lately! I was so happy to be reunited with one of my favorite tinted moisturizers- Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Spf 30*. The reformulated tinted moisturizer is available in 20 shades- I use the shade 4w1 Tawny. It has a creamy consistency, I love the sheer to light coverage with a dewy finish, and it does a pretty good job at covering redness on my cheeks and some acne old scars, It also doesn't cling to any dry patches or get cakey. I like to use my fingers to apply the product it gives a beautiful natural skin-like finish. It has great staying power, however, if you have oily skin I definitely recommend finishing off with a setting powder. This is the perfect base product for the no-makeup, makeup look.
3- Sisley Paris Phyto-Touche Sun Glow Bronzing Gel Powder
Sisley Paris Sun Glow Bronzing Gel Powder* gives you a natural, sun-kissed glow. It has a soft, sheer wash of color with a hint of shimmer. The unique finely-milled formula blends seamlessly on the skin. I love to use this for my daytime looks it looks absolutely gorgeous when the light hits on your cheeks. It is a bit pricy, but it's totally worth it!
4- Kjaer Weis Sun Touched Cream Blush
This cream blush converted me into a cream blush lover! Sun Touched is the perfect warm, peachy pink shade, and it's very flattering on my tan skin complexion. It is highly pigmented, and I've been using this blush pretty much every day. I have a full review on this blush here.
5- Laura Mercier Caviar Stick
Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks* has been my go-to lately. These are so convenient and easy to apply when you're on-the-go. I love the shade Cocoa, it's the perfect rich chocolaty brown shade. I like to use this as a base, or layer for a soft smokey eye look, or to create a winged liner. It's highly pigmented, long-wearing, crease-resistant, and it's very easy to blend, I like to use my fingers to blend out the product. I also love the shades- Rosegold, Moonlight, Sand Glow, and Burnished Bronze.
6- Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte Lip Colour
I haven't purchased anything from Chanel in a while, but during my birthday I decided to treat myself and I ended up purchasing 168 Serenity Rouge Allure Ink. I noticed this shade instantly amongst all the reds. It's a beautiful mauve rosy shade with a mousse-like texture. The non-drying, lightweight, smooth formula glides on like a gloss but dries down to a velvet-like finish. It's not very long-lasting, which is the only issue I have with the formula, and I also wish there were more nude shades available.
7- Decorte Beauty Rouge Velvet Lipstick
Decorte Beauty, kindly gifted a few of their Rouge Velvet Lipsticks, although the name says velvet, it has a more silky, satin-like finish. I love the shade BE80- it's a rosy nude shade. It's super-pigmented, hydrating, and long-lasting. It's pretty similar in color to Chanel 168, so depending on my mood, I pretty much rotated between these two lipsticks.
8- Merle Norman Wicked Lash Mascara
This is a new brand to me, and I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. The Wicked Lash Mascara* has an oversized brush, and it adds volume, lengthens, and it doesn't weigh my lashes down. It also doesn't smudge or flakes, with just two coats, my lashes look full and long. It's definitely a keeper!

That's all for last month's beauty favorites. Do you spot any favorites here?

Laura Mercier recently launched a few new products, and since some of you asked for swatches, I thought I would feature them all in one blog post. Today I'm going to review:
Blush Colour Infusion $30 each for 0.2 oz.
Lip Glace $26 each for 0.15 oz.
Translucent Glow Powder $38 for 1 oz.
First up are the new blushes there are 10 shades to choose from, and it comes in two different formulas- soft matte and pearl sheen. The blushes are rich in pigment and have 10-hour wear, it has sheer to buildable coverage. The weightless, silky smooth texture helps to blend out the products seamlessly.
Soft Matte Shades:
- Rose
- Chai
- Ginger
- Strawberry
- Kir Royale
Pearl Sheen Shades:
- Sangria
- Pomegranate
- Fresco
- Peach
- Grapefruit

Laura Mercier Blush Colour Infusion
I received 3 shades:
- Peach- a sheer light coral with a golden undertone and it has a shimmer finish.
- Rose- rose pink shade with a soft matte finish.
- Sangria- plum berry shade with a cool undertone and it has a shimmer finish.
Laura Mercier Blush Colour Infusion $30 packaged in a sturdy mini compact. I love blushes, and I'm always looking for new ones to try. These blushes are silky smooth I love both finishes, and the weightless formula delivers a sheer wash of color that looks very natural and not overdone.
I really like the shade range there are soft neutrals to vivid pops of colors to choose from. The shades are also great for all skin tones my favorite is Peach- it reminds me of Nars Orgasm, but a wearable version without the chunky glitters. I always have issues with blushes fading away within an hour or so, but these stays put all day long! All three blushes look great on my tan skin complexion. I have been rotating Rose and Peach for the past few weeks these two are perfect everyday blushes.

Laura Mercier Lip Glace
Laura Mercier Lip Glace $26 Housed in a sleek clear tube with a doe foot applicator. There are 26 shades, and the shades range from nudes, pinks, berry, mauve, coral, and red with cream and micro-shimmer finishes. I have six shades to review:
- Baby Doll- a shimmering pink.
- Opal- a coral shade with gold micro-shimmer.
- Sparkling- a shimmering light peach.
- Bare Blush- a cool tone mauve.
- Bare Baby- a light pink shade with micro-shimmer.
- Cosmic- a clear gloss with shimmer.

Laura Mercier Lip Glace
The Lip Glaces aren't new cause I remember purchasing the shade Baby Doll years ago. These glosses have high-shine, sheer to medium coverage, and it has a unique blend of moisturizing, anti-aging, antioxidant and plumping ingredients. The nonsticky formula helps with the even application, and the thick creamy consistency wears comfortably on the lips. I sort of became a gloss junkie over the past few months, and I tried so many glosses from various brands. This along with Urban Decay glosses (review here) are probably my favorite glosses at the moment.
These glosses are long lasting I get at least 4-5 hours of wear before it starts to fade. The color payoff is quite opaque except for Cosmic- it's a clear gloss with beautiful shimmer. The glosses smell delicious it reminds me of marshmallows/sweet vanilla I don't find it very overpowering but if you're sensitive to scents keep that in mind. I didn't notice any plumping effect, but the brilliant shine can give you a fuller pout especially if you slightly overline your lips with a lip liner and top it off with the Lip Glaces. My favorite shades are Sparkling, Bare Baby, and Opal.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder $38 the iconic Translucent powder now comes in the luminous glow! I'm a huge fan of the original setting powder it's what I use to set my concealer and t-zone. The new glow powder sets makeup for up to 12 hours of luminous weightless wear. The powder is pearl infused, so it gives you a beautiful, healthy looking radiant finish. This is a no flashback formula, doesn't settle into fine lines, crease or emphasize on pores. There are two shades- Translucent and Radiant Deep. The Glow Powder has a champagne hue with fine micro-shimmer, and due to the ultra smooth formula, it doesn't cling to any dry patches.
I have combination oily skin with large pores so I was a bit unsure of how it would look on me. I definitely won't recommend you set your entire face with this powder. I like to lightly dust a mattifying powder on my t-zone and use the Glow powder on my cheeks focusing on the areas I would like a healthy glowing finish. You can also dust the glow powder on your collarbones or shoulder.
I used to be a fan of all things matte, but this year my skin has been totally unpredictable, so I started experimenting with my makeup routine. I stopped using powder foundations to set my foundations instead I opted for a lightweight translucent powder. I focus it only on the areas that are oily, and I was thrilled with the result. This new glow powder is right up my alley I just have to be light hand with the application and focus on suitable areas.

How to apply Set up/Set down:
Set Down:
- Use the original Translucent Loose Setting Powder to set down makeup to reduce the look of unwanted shine and texture.
- Using Laura's Velour Puff, press and roll the powder onto the desired areas, including the forehead, lower cheeks sides of the nose, and around the mouth, chin, lower jawline.
Set Up:
- Use the Glow Powder typically where the skin is naturally smooth or where you want to catch the light.
- Using the Glow Powder Brush, apply powder to the areas you want to set with luminosity, including the temples, cheekbones, apples of the cheeks, bridge of the nose and cupids bow.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
Laura Mercier also launched a new Glow Brush $38 it's designed to apply the powder evenly all over the face. The curved shape is designed to fit the contours of the face, and it helps sweep powder smoothly and effortlessly.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
Final Verdict:
Laura Mercier products are classic, simple yet elegant that's what I most love about the brand. The new blushes are just that, and it's my absolute favorite! The wearable shades range is perfect for all skin tones. The Lip Glaces are also something I would highly recommend.
As for the Glow Powder, it might not be for everyone I feel like it depends on how you much glow you prefer. The powder contains micro-shimmer, so it creates a soft, subtle glow to the skin. I know a lot of people with oily skin shy away from anything glowy, but I live for a dewy, luminous glow!
Lip Glace, Blush Colour Infusion, and Translucent Loose Setting Powder are now available at Sephora, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus.

In honor of the Nordstrom Beauty event, I wanted to share my picks for the Spring Beauty Edit 2018. I will be honest with you I can't keep up with all the latest trends, but for spring and summer, I think a fresh, dewy base and a bright glossy lips are a match made in heaven. I must warn you I got way too excited and I ended up picking out a lot of products. I think it's good to have options, and since I'm focusing on skin and lips I'm including foundations, blush, bronzers, and a lot of pretty lipsticks.
So, let's begin!
So, let's begin!

Spring Beauty Edit
Spring Beauty Edit
First up are the base products I always start with prepping my skin with a hydrating serum and a moisturizer with an SPF 30 followed by a primer. The one I'm loving right now is the Makeup forever HD Serum Booster, its lightweight, hydrating, and it smooths out the appearance of fine lines.
Here are my top three foundation picks:
Here are my top three foundation picks:
- Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick $46 - lately, this has been my go-to foundation. It's very creamy, long-wearing, blendable and it has a full coverage finish. I love that I can use this as a concealer, I've also worn this foundation all throughout the year, and I didn't experience any caking or creasing. It covers redness, blemishes like a dream, and a little goes a long way with this foundation. This is one of my tried and tested foundation and I always get compliments when I wear this foundation.
- Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation $64 this is a new discovery, but it quickly became one of my favorite due to the lightweight, buildable coverage finish. Luminous Silk foundation has an oil-free formula with a silky texture, and a satin finish. It doesn't cling to any dry patches or emphasize the texture on my skin. You can sheer out the coverage by adding a drop of facial oil or moisturizer of your choice, and to build up the coverage use a beauty blender for an opaque finish. The shade range is a bit of an issue, there are not enough shades with a yellow undertone. I picked up the shade #8 which is the closest match for me.
- Mac Cosmetics Face and Body Foundation $30- this foundation doesn't need a formal introduction its loved by many, and it is one of my favorite foundation of all time. This is a lightweight, long-wearing, light to medium coverage foundation with a natural skin-like finish. I have developed broken capillaries over the past few years (due to the lack of sun protection I bet that will teach me) this foundation does a decent job at covering up all my imperfections. If you have severe acne spots or hyperpigmentation you'll definitely need to spot conceal. Face and Body has a runny texture, so I like to use my fingers to apply this foundation. This foundation doesn't settle into any fine lines, clog my pores or cling to dry patches, it provides a smooth, even finish. I've been using this foundation since I was 18, and I will continue to use it as long as it works for me. This is also a staple in many makeup artists kits cause of the natural finish and it photographs really well.

Spring Beauty Edit
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder $38 has been a staple in my makeup routine for many years. I like to set my concealer with this powder, and I also like to lightly dust this on my t-zone. In order to obtain a luminous glow, I have to be very light hand with the application so, I use as little powder as possible. If you have very oily t-zone, I would recommend the Lancome Dual Finish Multi-Tasking Powder $40 it has a wide shade range to choose from, and it's a medium to full coverage finish powder that does a great job at keeping the oil at bay.

Spring Beauty Edit
As I have mentioned earlier, I clearly got a bit carried away. Honestly, I can't contain myself when it comes to highlighters and lipsticks. I mean you should take a peek in makeup bag who needs to carry 7+ lipsticks? I do!
I picked out a few of my favorites cheek products in both powder and cream formula. I recently started using cream products I don't know why I waited so long to try them. It really goes hand in hand with the radiant glowy look.
First up are the powder bronzer, highlighters, and blush.
- Hourglass Cosmetics Ambient Lighting Bronzer* $50- this bronzer gives me the ultimate sun-kissed glow! It has a soft texture that blends effortlessly, and it doesn't leave my skin looking orange.
- Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo $82- a highlighting duo that can be applied individually or layered together for a multidimensional glow. I love Tom Ford highlighters cause they're very subtle and wearable. I use this duo mostly for my daytime looks cause it gives a natural glow without the chunky glitters.
- Nars Dual-Intensity Blush $ 45- Nars Dual-Intensity blush palette (review here) is one of my most used blush palettes. If you didn't get the chance to purchase the palette fear not cause it also comes in duos, and there are a few shades to choose from. These blushes can be used wet or dry depending on the intensity you're going for. I personally prefer using them dry since it's highly pigmented I don't feel the need to use them wet. Dual-Intensity blushes are very long wearing, and it has a satin finish.
- Laura Mercier Face Illuminator $44- Indiscretion, is a perfect everyday highlighter it has buttery a texture, and it's a beautiful rose gold shade. This highlighter can be used wet or dry and I prefer it dry to avoid the intense metallic highlighter look. However, I do like to use this wet when I use it as a brow bone highlighter. This is quite subtle but it adds just the right amount of glow.
- Mac Extra Dimension Skinfinish $34 Whisper of Gilt is probably one of Mac's bestselling highlighter, and it has now joined the permanent line. This highlighter is quite the opposite of subtle it's an intense, highly pigmented, champagne gold highlighter. I like to use this mostly during night time looks it has a cool liquid-powder texture, and I think this is a great option for anyone who loves an opaque finish highlighter.
- Cle De Peau Beaute Luminizing Face Enhancer $95 a beautiful highlighter that's subtle with a hint of shimmer. Don't be afraid of the shimmer cause its an overspray. Once you get rid of that layer of shimmer you're left with a luxuriously soft, silky, and lustrous finish highlighter.
- Wander Beauty On-the-Glow Bronzer & Illuminator* $45- a cream-to-powder formula that delivers a natural, pure matte, sun-kissed hue to the cheeks and face, while the illuminator imparts a subtle healthy glow and adds dimension to the face and body. Infused with a proprietary blend of HD pigments, vitamins, and hydrating ingredients, the buildable formula glides beautifully onto the skin, flattering all complexions. This is one of the creamiest bronzers I've used thus far. I also love that it comes with a highlighter so it's very travel-friendly. I have a detailed review with swatches here.
- By Terry Glow-Expert* $48- a two-in-one product which you can use to highlight and contour and it also has a brush on the other end. It has a creamy formula with a pearl finish, and it glides on the skin like butter. I have the shade Amber Light, I like to mix both shades to warm up my skin. The formula is incredible and I love how this stick duo looks on the skin it provides the prettiest glossy finish.
- YSL Touche Eclat Glow Shot Liquid Highlighter* $42 a liquid highlighter that brightens your complexion that gives your skin a radiant, dewy glow. I have the shade 2 Sunrise it's a beautiful pink opalescent shade. This is a bit sheer so you can mix this with your foundation for a luminescent glow.
- Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick $42 a highly pigmented, long-wearing, an innovative formula that adjusts to your body temperature to blend effortlessly into the skin. It’s also formulated with hollow microspheres for a weightless feel on the skin. It blends into the skin without any streaks with a high shine and metallic finish.
- Wander Beauty On-the-Glow Blush & Illuminator* $42- this is just as good as the bronzer duo the formula is very creamy, easy to blend, and the pigmentation is incredible. I also have a detailed review and swatches of this duo here.

I love peachy, coral lipsticks as you can tell I feel like its the perfect shade for spring and summer. I don't wear a lot of bold, colorful lipsticks, but when I do it's usually a bright orange or a coral shade.
- Tom Ford Sheer Lip Color $54- a lustrous sheen of color that complements sun-kissed, summer skin. I have four Lip Color Sheers, and I really like the texture of these lipsticks it has a comfortable wear that provides a layer of hydration to the lips.
- Chantecaille Lip Chic* $38- Hyacinth is a pinkish coral shade with a satin finish. I absolutely love the lip chic formula it has a sheer coverage with a very pretty glossy finish. I recently reviewed the Chantecaille spring collection here which includes this lipstick.
- Nars Velvet Lip Glide $26- Bound is a lovely rosy pink shade. These lip glides are highly pigmented, it goes on like a gloss, but sets like a lipstick. I also have a full review of the Nars Velvet Lip Glides here.
- Giorgio Armani Lip Magnet Liquid Lipsticks* $38- I have two shades 400 and 505 both are very pretty and fun bright colors. The creamy consistency glides on the lips smoothly, it has a non-drying formula, and it lasts for 3-4 hours before it starts to fade. I love the shade 400 it is a bright warm red, and I think it will suit most skin tones.
- YSL Volupté Liquid Balm $32- I'm a huge fan of YSL lip products so I had to try their newest launch, Volupte liquid Balm. A medium-coverage, high-shine liquid lip color that deeply moisturizes and protects lips like a balm. I picked up the shade in N12 Chase Me Nude it's a peachy nude. The formula is superb, and although, it's a lip balm it's still nicely saturated.
- Lancome L'Absolu Rouge Hydrating Shaping Lip Color $32- 172 Impatiente, a stunning orange-red. The formula is infused with moisture-boosting Pro-Bylane, it gives your lips a high color payoff without drying out your lips. I love using this lipstick during spring/summer it really brightens up my complexion, and the formula is quite hydrating which is always a plus.
- Hourglass Confession Ultra Slim High-Intensity Refillable Lipstick $34- by now you can see a pattern of glossy, satin finish lipsticks. Well, this one fits right in with the rest of the lipsticks. This is a long-wearing, highly saturated lipstick with a satin finish. I accumulated a few shades of the Confession Ultra Slim lipsticks, but my favorite is I've Never_ which is a nude rose. I really like this shade of nude it's perfect for medium to tan skin tone, and it won't give you that washed out look.
- Chanel Rouge Coco Shine $37- this is probably my most used Chanel lipstick. I always keep this in my makeup bag for a quick touch up. Etourdie is a shimmering rosy pink shade with a sheer coverage that provides long-lasting hydration with a water-light texture. It glides on the lips easily, and it has a very pretty glossy finish.
- Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lipgloss* $20- this was launched recently, and I've reviewed all the shades here. Urban Decay did a great job with the shade range my favorites are Backtalk and Snitch. It's formulated with vitamin E and peppermint oil, a hydrating formula that leaves lips feeling nourished with an immediate plumping effect and it has a yummy vanilla-mint flavor.
- Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil* $26- I wouldn't put this in the lipstick category since it's more of a clear oil/gloss that keeps your lips hydrated throughout the day. I like to use this lip oil as a lipstick topper especially with a matte lipstick cause it provides a glossy, plumping effect to the lips.

This concludes my Spring Beauty Edit. I hope you enjoyed my picks and don't forget to check out the Nordstrom stores and event dates. You can simply RSVP online or ask for special accommodations by calling or stopping by your favorite cosmetics or skincare counter, located within Nordstrom.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer
0.23 oz for $28
Laura Mercier recently launched their new Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealers. The brand claims this concealer has full coverage, weightless, seamlessly conceals under-eye darkness, crease resistant and blurs with up to 12 hours of wear. There are a total of twelve shades available and Laura Mercier was kind enough to send all twelve shades for review purpose.
The concealers come in a sleek tube with a flexible doe foot applicator. I love the consistency, it's very creamy and it does have medium to full coverage finish. The finishing is very natural and it has a slightly tacky feel to it which gives it a flawless, dewy look and it's almost undetectable on the skin. I do have dark under eye circles and this product does a phenomenal job of concealing them. I also have some fine lines, so I have to prep my under eye area really well, before applying the concealer to avoid any creasing. I like to use my fingers to apply the concealers, the warmth of my fingers help blend out the product seamlessly. I did notice some creasing on the days I went heavy with the application so I like to apply a few small dots and once blended I lightly dust LM Translucent Powder to set the concealer. If I do notice any creasing throughout the day I just use my ring finger and gently dab on the area, it doesn't take off any product it just helps smooth out the creasings. I also love using the shade 4N to spot conceal it really blurs and conceals any imperfections. The shade 4N is a little bit dark for me but once on the skin, you can't detect the color difference especially after I set it with a powder. Flawless Fusion Concealer is very long lasting, I didn't get the chance to test out for full 12 hours but I did wear it for 8-9 hours and it stayed put all day long without oxidizing. For everyday looks, I like to mix the shades 3W and 4N and occasionally when I want to go for a lighter and brighter under eye area I like to mix the shades 3N and 3W. There are three different undertones-
C for cool undertones-1C, 2C, 3C.
N for neutral undertones- 1N, 2N, 3N, 4N, 5N, 6N.
W for warm undertones- 2W, 3W, 6W.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer
I feel the shade range just jumped from medium to dark undertones leaving a huge gap in the middle. Even for my tan warm skin tone, I have to mix a few shades. For everyday looks, I like to use a concealer that's closer to my skin tone. So I hope they'll add more shades to the medium and darker undertones in the future.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer with flash

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer without flash
The first photo is taken with flash and the second is taken without flash so I hope this gives you an idea about the shades and undertones. As you can see, the shade just went from medium to dark. I think that can be an issue for some, like me, you might have to mix a shade or two for a good match.

Here are a few other concealers, my most used ones are the Nars Radiant Creamy, MUFE Ultra HD, and Wander Beauty dual concealer. All three of them are very creamy and it doesn't crease as much. I do have a review for both Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (here) and the Wander Beauty Dual Matte & Illuminating Concealer (here). When it comes to concealers I do prefer a lightweight, dewy, hydrating finish cause I have very dry under eye area and Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Concealer is just that!
Final Verdict:
This concealer instantly brightens up my under eye area, it's not cakey, it's very easy to blend and it's highly pigmented. I've been testing this out for the past few weeks and I like that you can use this for day to day natural looks and evening party looks. Even though I noticed slight creasing, I blame my dry skin for that. Due to the weather, my skin has been extremely dry for the past few months specially, my under eye area. I would highly suggest prepping the skin with a hydrating cream, prior to applying the concealer. However, I'm curious to see how this concealer will hold up during summer.
Overall, I love the packaging, the formula is superb, and it performs really well but I hope they'll expand the shade range in the future. If you like a full coverage finish concealer, you'll definitely enjoy this one.
