Marc Jacobs Beauty new Coconut Fantasy Collection has launched, and it includes:
- Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in Fantasy
- Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette in Fantascene
- Finish-Line Perfecting Coconut Setting Powder
- Omega Bronze Perfect Tan in Tan-Tastic
Since I love the original Dew Drops, I decided to purchase the new Coconut Gel Highlighter in Fantasy, ($44 for 0.8oz) and today I'm going to review both of the gel highlighters.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops is a lightweight, coconut-infused gel highlighter that can be applied to the skin directly or added to foundation or primer for a universally flattering glow. A little goes a long way: This gel highlighter builds for the ultimate sheen, and the sensual, golden-peach hue flatters all skin tones with warm radiance. It’s formulated with five forms of coconut and provitamin B5 to help hydrate and nourish skin.
- Coconut alkanes: Help with longer wear
- Coconut milk: Deeply hydrates
- Coconut water: Provides refreshing electrolytes
- Coconut polysaccharides: Help condition
- Coconut fragrance: Lightly scented

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter Dew you & Fantasy
Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighters are housed in a thick, frosted glass bottle with a white cap and a pump dispenser. I like the packaging, the pump is very easy to control you can dispense just the right amount of product. However, I did notice the products seem to dry up at the nozzle so I like to wipe that way before pumping out more product.
The highlighter has a gel-like consistency, it's very creamy, and it glides on the skin easily, but it sets very quickly, so you have to work a little faster. These are highly pigmented, and it has the most beautiful micro shimmers so you can mix the highlighters with your foundation for a luminous glow. My skin is pretty normal these days with some dry patches, and even though the highlighters can cling to the dry spots it doesn't emphasize on fine lines or large pores. If you have oily skin you can use this only on the cheekbones or any other areas you'd like to focus on instead of mixing it with your foundation. If you have dry skin prep with a hydrating primer, and a foundation that has a dewy finish since, the gel highlighters are a bit drying. Dew Drops highlighters have a blendable formula, I like to use my fingers to apply the product, but you can also use a beauty blender or brush to buff out the product. Dew Drops is a great base for powder highlighters, but I don't like to layer highlighters cause I don't find it flattering on my textured skin. If you're a fan of intense highlighter you can definitely pair it a powder highlighter. Once this highlighter sets it will stay put all day long, and it's also transfer proof.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter Dew you
Marc Jacobs Dew You Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter $44- this is described as golden peach, but on my complexion, it pulls more champagne gold than peachy gold. I love this shade, and I think this will look great on fair to tan skin tone. I prefer using this highlighter with my foundation I use a small pump and mix the products really well. It gives me the ultimate sun-kissed glow! I also like to use this on the inner corner of my eyes, and browbone.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter Fantasy
Marc Jacobs Fantasy Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter $44- it's described as warm rose tone, and on my complexion, it shows up coppery pink with a golden sheen. I was very excited to see Marc Jacobs launching a darker shade of gel highlighter. I get very tan during summer so this will be perfect during the warmer months. Fantasy is highly pigmented, and it has an intense metallic finish so I use a very small amount cause a little goes a long way with this highlighter. This shade might not be the best option for very fair skin tone since it does run a bit coppery. If you have light to medium complexion you can use this as a bronzer to warm up the skin and a radiant glow. However, it's the perfect highlighter for a brown girl like me!

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew you Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter & Algenist Luminizing Drops
My liquid highlighter collection is pretty small, but I did find a close dupe in my stash. Algenist Luminizing Drops in Champagne is very similar in shade wise, however, it's much lighter in texture, and it's slightly warmer than Dew You. MJ Dew You seems to have a hint of cool undertone when compared next to the Algenist Champagne Luminizing Drops. I like them both, and it's nice to have options so I wanted to compare this two side by side so you can have an idea.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter Fantasy & Tom Ford Illuminator Fire Lust
I also wanted to compare Fantasy to one of my favorite Tom Ford Illuminator in Fire Lust. Fantasy is definitely warmer, and it has a metallic finish with a golden sheen. Fire Lust pulls more peachy with ultra-fine golden shimmer.
Final Verdict:
The new limited edition Fantasy dew drops is a total hit! It's just as good as the original gel highlighter. Both shades are very flattering on my complexion, and it truly gives me a beautiful lustrous glow.
Marc Jacobs Dew Drops has that wet skin-like finish which is just what I prefer when it comes to highlighters. The silky smooth texture, rich pigmentation, and the longevity of these products definitely make them a winner.

Happy Monday! Newyork was warm and sunny this weekend and it was also Bengali New Year day what a perfect day to celebrate and start the year off right. Traditionally we wear red and white saree but I decided to mix it up a bit. I don't wear a lot of colors on a daily basis my outfit mostly consists of white or black color tops with jeans. When it comes to shoes and handbags, that's where I like to have some fun and twist. I wore one of my favorite pair of emerald green mules I purchased this pair last year from HM. The quality is superb it's has a satin material and it is very comfortable. Keeping the emerald green theme going I wore these vintage earrings that I purchased a few years ago, I absolutely love these earrings. I'm also loving the combination of the new Givenchy Blossom Crush and Byredo Bal d'Afrique perfumes both floral scents but it's not too heavy, it's very light and airy. Now let's discuss the bag I'm sure you've all seen the newest trend- PVC bags. Well, I can't get enough of the new trendy bag, I picked up an affordable version from Nordstrom. I'm eyeing a beautiful Chanel PVC bag but not sure if its worth the splurge. For now, I'm going to enjoy every bit of this BP. PVC Bag.

Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator Ingredients
I was very excited when I received this uniquely packaged Marc Jacobs highlighter, I immediately started testing it out. It's housed in a palm-shaped case with a twist roll up dial, kind of like a deodorant, which makes this stick highlighter very travel-friendly. Spotlight Glow Stick contains both silver and gold pearls, this glow stick imparts universal glow which flatters both warm and cool skin tones. The first thing I noticed once I applied this stick highlighter, is that it creates the most gorgeous gleaming youthful glow on the skin. The formula is creamy, silky smooth, and very blendable it doesn't feel sticky it just glides on like butter. This highlighter doesn't emphasize on your pores, it gives your face a soft, fresh, natural dewy glow. I use my finger to apply this instead of using the stick straight onto my skin. With any cream or stick highlighters, using a finger to gently dab and blend with your fingertips is the best way to distribute the product without wiping off the foundation. I use this on my cheekbones, brow bones, and cupids bow, you can apply it on the bridge of your nose but since that's where I tend to get oily I skip that part. This highlighter is quite pigmented, so a little goes a long way it's also very long lasting, It lasted about good 8-9 hours.
Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator
Overall
As you can see, on me it shows up more of cool tone and since this is a universal highlighter it will show up different depending on your skin tone. However keep in mind anyone can wear this highlighter due to the unique formula. On the picture above I swatched quite heavily but once applied it doesn't look frosty or glittery it just gives your skin a soft illuminating glow. You can apply this sheer or layer it, without it looking too oily or shimmery. I must admit, I didn't expect to like this highlighter as much as I did. I highly recommend this highlighter, I'm packing Spotlight with me for my upcoming vacation, so no more broken powder highlighters for me!
