Laura Mercier recently launched a few new products, and since some of you asked for swatches, I thought I would feature them all in one blog post. Today I'm going to review:
Blush Colour Infusion $30 each for 0.2 oz.
Lip Glace $26 each for 0.15 oz.
Translucent Glow Powder $38 for 1 oz.
First up are the new blushes there are 10 shades to choose from, and it comes in two different formulas- soft matte and pearl sheen. The blushes are rich in pigment and have 10-hour wear, it has sheer to buildable coverage. The weightless, silky smooth texture helps to blend out the products seamlessly.
Soft Matte Shades:
- Rose
- Chai
- Ginger
- Strawberry
- Kir Royale
Pearl Sheen Shades:
- Sangria
- Pomegranate
- Fresco
- Peach
- Grapefruit

Laura Mercier Blush Colour Infusion
I received 3 shades:
- Peach- a sheer light coral with a golden undertone and it has a shimmer finish.
- Rose- rose pink shade with a soft matte finish.
- Sangria- plum berry shade with a cool undertone and it has a shimmer finish.
Laura Mercier Blush Colour Infusion $30 packaged in a sturdy mini compact. I love blushes, and I'm always looking for new ones to try. These blushes are silky smooth I love both finishes, and the weightless formula delivers a sheer wash of color that looks very natural and not overdone.
I really like the shade range there are soft neutrals to vivid pops of colors to choose from. The shades are also great for all skin tones my favorite is Peach- it reminds me of Nars Orgasm, but a wearable version without the chunky glitters. I always have issues with blushes fading away within an hour or so, but these stays put all day long! All three blushes look great on my tan skin complexion. I have been rotating Rose and Peach for the past few weeks these two are perfect everyday blushes.

Laura Mercier Lip Glace
Laura Mercier Lip Glace $26 Housed in a sleek clear tube with a doe foot applicator. There are 26 shades, and the shades range from nudes, pinks, berry, mauve, coral, and red with cream and micro-shimmer finishes. I have six shades to review:
- Baby Doll- a shimmering pink.
- Opal- a coral shade with gold micro-shimmer.
- Sparkling- a shimmering light peach.
- Bare Blush- a cool tone mauve.
- Bare Baby- a light pink shade with micro-shimmer.
- Cosmic- a clear gloss with shimmer.

Laura Mercier Lip Glace
The Lip Glaces aren't new cause I remember purchasing the shade Baby Doll years ago. These glosses have high-shine, sheer to medium coverage, and it has a unique blend of moisturizing, anti-aging, antioxidant and plumping ingredients. The nonsticky formula helps with the even application, and the thick creamy consistency wears comfortably on the lips. I sort of became a gloss junkie over the past few months, and I tried so many glosses from various brands. This along with Urban Decay glosses (review here) are probably my favorite glosses at the moment.
These glosses are long lasting I get at least 4-5 hours of wear before it starts to fade. The color payoff is quite opaque except for Cosmic- it's a clear gloss with beautiful shimmer. The glosses smell delicious it reminds me of marshmallows/sweet vanilla I don't find it very overpowering but if you're sensitive to scents keep that in mind. I didn't notice any plumping effect, but the brilliant shine can give you a fuller pout especially if you slightly overline your lips with a lip liner and top it off with the Lip Glaces. My favorite shades are Sparkling, Bare Baby, and Opal.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder $38 the iconic Translucent powder now comes in the luminous glow! I'm a huge fan of the original setting powder it's what I use to set my concealer and t-zone. The new glow powder sets makeup for up to 12 hours of luminous weightless wear. The powder is pearl infused, so it gives you a beautiful, healthy looking radiant finish. This is a no flashback formula, doesn't settle into fine lines, crease or emphasize on pores. There are two shades- Translucent and Radiant Deep. The Glow Powder has a champagne hue with fine micro-shimmer, and due to the ultra smooth formula, it doesn't cling to any dry patches.
I have combination oily skin with large pores so I was a bit unsure of how it would look on me. I definitely won't recommend you set your entire face with this powder. I like to lightly dust a mattifying powder on my t-zone and use the Glow powder on my cheeks focusing on the areas I would like a healthy glowing finish. You can also dust the glow powder on your collarbones or shoulder.
I used to be a fan of all things matte, but this year my skin has been totally unpredictable, so I started experimenting with my makeup routine. I stopped using powder foundations to set my foundations instead I opted for a lightweight translucent powder. I focus it only on the areas that are oily, and I was thrilled with the result. This new glow powder is right up my alley I just have to be light hand with the application and focus on suitable areas.

How to apply Set up/Set down:
Set Down:
- Use the original Translucent Loose Setting Powder to set down makeup to reduce the look of unwanted shine and texture.
- Using Laura's Velour Puff, press and roll the powder onto the desired areas, including the forehead, lower cheeks sides of the nose, and around the mouth, chin, lower jawline.
Set Up:
- Use the Glow Powder typically where the skin is naturally smooth or where you want to catch the light.
- Using the Glow Powder Brush, apply powder to the areas you want to set with luminosity, including the temples, cheekbones, apples of the cheeks, bridge of the nose and cupids bow.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
Laura Mercier also launched a new Glow Brush $38 it's designed to apply the powder evenly all over the face. The curved shape is designed to fit the contours of the face, and it helps sweep powder smoothly and effortlessly.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
Final Verdict:
Laura Mercier products are classic, simple yet elegant that's what I most love about the brand. The new blushes are just that, and it's my absolute favorite! The wearable shades range is perfect for all skin tones. The Lip Glaces are also something I would highly recommend.
As for the Glow Powder, it might not be for everyone I feel like it depends on how you much glow you prefer. The powder contains micro-shimmer, so it creates a soft, subtle glow to the skin. I know a lot of people with oily skin shy away from anything glowy, but I live for a dewy, luminous glow!
Lip Glace, Blush Colour Infusion, and Translucent Loose Setting Powder are now available at Sephora, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus.

Rodin Olio Lusso Mermaid Luxury Collection
Recently I had the pleasure of attending a lovely Rodin Olio Lusso event at the beautiful Veronica Beard boutique in NYC. At the event we got a sneak peek of their latest Luxury Mermaid Collection. Also, at the event, we met Donald Robertson, a very talented and hilarious guy who worked on all the beautiful illustrations on the packaging and products. He helped brought this collection to life, learn more about Mr. Robertson here.
Rodin olio lusso:
Linda Rodin is a stylist of legend, Linda knows life on the runway and the red carpet, but her tastes are an homage to authenticity and personal style. When she couldn't find simple, satisfying skincare, she created it at home with essential oils and seeds she's gathered from market days in her beloved Italy. She was an early-bloomer in recognizing that essential oils left skin clean and dewy, and well nourished. Rodin olio lusso has grown beyond those first hand-blended potions given to models and movers.
But it remains in its simplicity. A core of 11 luxurious oils, and the faith that luminous skin, healthy hair and a bold lip are all a girl really needs.
But it remains in its simplicity. A core of 11 luxurious oils, and the faith that luminous skin, healthy hair and a bold lip are all a girl really needs.

Luxury Mermaid Collection:
Linda Rodin always believed that she'd been a mermaid in a previous life. Donald Robertson, her artist friend, and fellow-Pisces found inspiration in her fantasy and put his paintbrushes to work, and that's how this illustrious illustrator came to bring to life our Rodin olio lusso Mermaid Collection for radiant skin, glistening lips, and glowing cheeks.
I came home with a bag full of goodies! All the bags were hand painted by Donald Robertson I picked out the one with a mermaid in the blue ocean. It's such a cute little bag my daughter loves mermaids and blue is her favorite color at the moment, so she was pleased to hear that the bag was for her.
The Mermaid Collection includes:
- Mermaid Collection Luxury Illuminating Powder $50 for .31 oz.
- Mermaid Collection Luxury Kabuki Brush $25
- Mermaid Collection Luxury Illuminating Liquid $50 for .9 fl. oz.
- Mermaid Collection Luxury Lip Oil $30 for .24 fl. oz.
- Mermaid Collection Luxury Body Oil $90 for .4 fl. oz.

Mermaid Collection Luxury Illuminating Powder $50 A silky smooth gel powder illuminator and it's housed in a sturdy clear compact. The clear acrylic compact allows you to see the beautiful mermaid embossing. I had to pause for a moment when I saw the gorgeous illuminating powder I had a hard time touching it cause I didn't want to ruin such a stunning piece of art. At last, I did play with the powder I couldn't resist the urge to run my finger through the powder.
Available in one perfect, ethereal shade- Siren, it's a swirl of champagne and icy lavender shade. On my tan complexion, it comes off a cool tone nude pink shade. The talc-free formula delivers seamless translucence and blends effortlessly into the skin. It contains exquisite micro-pigments that will capture and diffuse light. This powder is finely milled it feels very soft and smooth it's also highly pigmented it has a sheer, yet buildable texture. It has a metallic finish minus the chunky glitters you can either go for a light-hand application for a subtle glow or layer it for an high-wattage glow! This powder does not come with a brush, but you can buy the Kabuki brush from the collection. Although I don't prefer a kabuki brush when it comes to applying highlighters, I instead use a fan or small brush that way I have more control with the application.

Mermaid Collection Luxury Kabuki Brush $25 A luxurious white cashmere synthetic brush it's housed in a sleek high gloss bright white base. This brush was designed to apply the Illuminating Powder. Like I mentioned before I usually don't prefer such a big brush for highlighters, but I think this brush would be great for powder foundations. It's very soft, compact and fluffy, so it does a great job at buffing out products. I've been using this for touch ups I keep mine in a small pouch. I wish it came with a bag/pouch or a top so the bristles would stay nice and clean.

Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Mermaid Illuminating Liquid
Mermaid Collection Luxury Illuminating Liquid $50 The glass bottle come with a pump, and it has cute seashell underwater theme prints. This illuminating liquid is formulated with an exquisite blend of microfine, light-reflecting optics to give skin a beautiful glow. This is a liquid version of the illuminating powder. However, this is much warmer than the powder its a warm champagne gold shade. I love the weightless, blendable texture it's suitable for both face and body. I like to mix liquid illuminators with my foundations it's my favorite way to work with liquid highlighters. The formula is much lighter than the other liquid illuminators in my collection. It's not runny, it has a fluid consistency due to the oil base, but I don't find this being an issue. It looks quite intense when swatched, but once you mix it with your foundation, the shimmer is so subtle it gives you a glowing sheen.

Mermaid Collection Luxury Lip Oil $30 A luxurious, lightweight lip oil in a universally flattering shade. The lip oil has a serum-like non-sticky consistency. It's very nourishing, and it has a high gloss finish. This lip oil can be worn on its own or over a lipstick. I like to pair this lip oil with lipliners since most of the lip liners have a matte finish so this oil keeps my lips hydrated and glossy. I think the lip oil will flatter all complexion it's a nude shade with gold shimmers and it has a hint of a warm undertone. This lip oil is formulated with vitamin E, sunflower oil, olive fruit oil, safflower seed oil and jojoba seed oil.

Mermaid Collection Luxury Body Oil $90 This is probably my second favorite product from the Mermaid collection. The body oil comes in a beautiful bottle adorned with seahorse, seashells, and sea kelp prints. It's one remarkable tri-phase body oil formula gold, clear, and aqua that nourishes and moisturizes skin while leaving it silky. A blend of sunflower, sweet almond, olive and sea buckthorn oils contribute to the skin-softening, rejuvenating benefits of this formula, in addition to Omegas 3, 6, 7, and 9. Hyaluronic acid and glycerin attract hydration to moisturize skin, and a blend of two-lightweight, glide-enhancing ingredients leave skin feeling silky smooth. The sea kelp and Sambac body oil smell of intoxicating jasmine flowers. You can also mix the liquid illuminator with the body oil it looks incredible on the skin.

All the products in this collection are very rich in pigmentation, and the consistency is silky smooth. I went a little heavy on the swatches so you can get an idea, but the illuminators can be sheer or layered to build up the coverage depending on the application.

I have very few cool tone highlighters in my collections, but I still wanted to compare the Rodin Illuminating Powder to a few highlighters from my collection. Laura Mercier Devotion looks quite similar compared to the mermaid illuminator, but it doesn't have the hint of champagne undertone like Siren.
- Chanel Camelia de Plumes (Limited Edition)
- Rodin oili lusso Luxury Mermaid Illumnating Powder
- Laura mercier Face Illuminator in Indiscretion & Devotion
- Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Soft & Gentle

I also wanted to compare the Liquid Illuminator to a few of my favorite illuminators- Marc Jacobs Dew You (review here) and Algenist Champagne Luminizing Drops. The Rodin liquid illuminator is unique regarding both the shade and texture.

Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Mermaid Illuminating Liquid
Final Verdict:
This collection screams summer I love that it's a small collection seems like it was carefully curated. The beautiful underwater-themed illustrations and embossing on the products and boxes are so pretty it's making it very hard to toss out the boxes. My top picks from the collection are the Illuminating Powder, Liquid Illuminator, and the Luxury Body Oil.
Rodin Mermaid Collection is exquisite, and if you can splurge on one thing from the collection, I would highly recommend it. This collection is now available at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Saks.

Christian Louboutin Limited Edition Loubiflash Nail Polish in Dragon Flash
Product Description:
This May, designer Christian Louboutin launches his first-ever neon-like Nail Colour shades, introducing the limited edition Loubiflash Nail Collection. These new shades lend inspiration from the 2012 Crazy Horse cabaret show Voodoo that Christian choreographed where invisible hands marked by fluorescent paint leave handprints on the dancers' bodies. Like in this magical act, Loubiflash provides a flash of colour to hands, enabling the wearer to exalt herself with pops of bold colour.
For Christian, neon has long been one of his favorite ways to embellish his fashion collections. These bright shades capture the exuberance of the designer's personality and his collection. As an accent they are cheerful yet elegantthey instantly animate one's attitude and look. They add the perfect hint of playfulness to any outfit. With the introduction of Loubiflash, Christian invites women to reveal their audacious side.
Loubiflash Nail Colours are the next generation of Christian's beloved Pop shades. The formula features an exclusive blend of pigments that provide optimal and vivid colour for striking neon-like shades of hot pink, electric orange, and peacock green.

Christian Louboutin Limited Edition Loubiflash Nail Polish in Dragon Flash
Christian Louboutin has just launched their new Limited Edition Loubiflash Nail Colors ($30 for 0.2 fl/ 6ml) The three new neon shades are perfect for Spring and Summer. I had the pleasure of attending an event where I got a preview of the upcoming launches. I was also pampered with a manicure at the Tenoverten nail salon where the event was held. We were also asked to choose a nail color to go home with and obviously, I went with the bright peacock green shade called Dragon Flash.
There are three shades:
There are three shades:
- Neoprene- a hot pink
- Crostameteor- an electric orange
- Dragon Flash- peacock green

I was in awe of the new products so it totally slipped my mind to take additional photos of the new nail polishes so, please excuse the grainy photo (this shot was from my Instagram story) I'm not proud of them, but it will have to do for now. These are the three new neon shades it's much smaller than the full-size CL nail polishes, however, the packaging remains same it's just a miniature and affordable version of their regular nail colors. Loubiflash Nail Colour is housed in a silver foil box featuring a neon colour reveal and Christian Louboutin logo matching the shade inside. Each bottle is crowned with the brand's signature calligraphy-style cap in metallic silver, reflecting the brilliant shades in this collection.

The gift bag also included the Loubi Nail Primer & Gloss ($55 for 2x 0.2 fl/6ml) This duo is the same size as the new Loubiflash nail colors. The nail primer creates a protective, smooth, and flawless surface for the nail colors and the gloss seals in your mani while providing chip-free, brilliant shine and UV protection. The customized triangle brush ensures picks up just the right amount of product. I do like the formula of this nail care kit the base coat is great especially if you're going for a pop of color. It helps create an even canvas for your mani and you only need one coat. I also love the gloss as instructed I applied two coats and it dries within 2-3 minutes which is pretty amazing cause I'm a total clutz, and I'm always messing up my mani while drying. The gloss also has a high shine which lasts for a week before it starts to chip and lose the shine. You can also wear this nail kit alone if you're in a rush but still want a polished look while protecting your nails.
This product is gluten-free, and it is free of toluene, formaldehyde, and DBP.

Now for the fun part let's talk about this beauty Dragon Flash! It's a beautiful seafoam green shade with a hint of teal. The formula is quite impressive it has a medium coverage and with two coats you can achieve an opaque finish. I did notice that Dragon Flash lacks a glossy, shiny finish so you'd definitely need to follow with a top coat which is what I normally do anyways so I don't think that's a big issue. However, I must mention I do own two other CL nail colors and both of them has a high gloss finish so, I think the neon formula has something to do with the matte finishing. The brush was very easy to work with, and the shorter version of the intimidating stiletto handle wasn't an issue at all. I wore Dragon Flash for a full week, and it started losing the lustrous shine and very minor chipping around the 5th day. By the 7th day, it chipped quite a bit but most of my other nail polishes last about 5-6 days before chipping so it's on par with other brands in terms of longevity.
Let's take a closer look at the bottle and some swatches.

Christian Louboutin Limited Edition Loubiflash Nail Polish in Dragon Flash

Christian Louboutin Limited Edition Loubiflash Nail Polish in Dragon Flash
Christian Louboutin Limited Edition Loubiflash Nail Polish in Dragon Flash

This photo was taken right after I got my manicure this shade really suits my complexion and I actually received a lot of compliments. As I have mentioned before Dragon Flash has a matte finish but the top coat really did a great job providing a beautiful glossy finish. After I was done with my manicure I literally waited 2 minutes before I started moving around and taking photos of the new lipsticks (sneak peek coming soon). I was surprised that I did not mess up my polish it literally dries within minutes! I have tried many different top coats but so far I'm really impressed with this one.

Christian Louboutin Limited Edition Loubiflash Nail Polish in Dragon Flash
This photo was taken on the fifth day of wearing Dragon Flash there were minor chipping on the index finger and the shine started fading a bit, but the color still remained vivid.
Final Verdict:
Christian Louboutin Beaute is a work of art, and it's definitely a splurge I tried holding off on the nail colors as long as I could cause it can get addicting. After trying out the other two nail polishes there was no going back. The quality, performance, and packaging is pure luxury. With that being said, the new neon nail colors are fun and playful I also like the price point which is why I'm probably going to purchase Crostameteor It's a really pretty orange shade. Overall, Dragon Flash gets two thumbs up, it performed really well, and the color is a total winner.

For the 2018 Met Gala “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”, celebrity makeup artist Beau Nelson created a glowing and feminine celestial look on Kate Bosworth using Chantecaille.
Beau was inspired by Byzantine paintings from the Eastern Roman Empire. He wanted Kate’s beauty to emulate an ethereal, monochromatic look from that era.
"I would describe this look as monochromatic. The color palette consisted of nude rose, rosy taupes, and soft beige pinks.” – Beau Nelson

Skin
1. To prep the skin, Beau applied the newly released Gold Recovery Mask ($270) on Kate’s face and neck to revitalize and refresh Kate’s skin, and applied the Gold Energizing Eye Recovery Masks ($195) to brighten and rejuvenate her under eyes.
2. To moisturize the skin for long-lasting hydration and a natural radiance, Beau mixed together Rose de Mai Face Oil ($185) with soothing Magnolia, Jasmine, and Lily Healing Emulsion ($120).
FACE
1. For a creamy natural base, perfectly matched to Kate’s skin tone, Beau combined Future Skin Shades ($78) Ivory, a pink tone with milky Alabaster.
2. To set the base and prepare the skin for high-definition cameras, Beau brushed on HD Perfecting Powder ($75), starting at the center of Kate’s face.
3. Next, Beau primed Kate’s cheeks with universally-flattering pink Cheek Gelée in Happy ($44), and then brushed Philanthropy Cheek Shade in Laughter ($40), a warm peachy pink blush. This cheek shade is embossed with coral and benefits the Marine Conservatory Biology Institute.
4. Beau highlighted the high points of Kate’s face with the L'Arbre Illuminé Palette ($75).
EYES
1. For the eyes, Beau dusted Lasting Eye Shade in Coriander ($26) onto Kate’s Lid.
2. Next, in the crease, Beau applied Mermaid Eye Matte in Elephant ($34), and then Mermaid Eye Matte in Lion ($34) on the inner corner of Kate’s eyes.
3. For perfectly full, face-framing brows, Beau enhanced and polished Kate’s eyebrows with Waterproof Brow Definer in Ash Blonde ($36).
4. To finish the eyes, Beau brushed on Faux Cils Longest Lash Mascara ($72) to thicken and lengthen Kate’s lashes.
LIPS
1. Beau lined Kate’s lips with Lip Definer in Natural ($26), a beigey-pink for long-lasting wear.
2. For a perfect nude-pink lip, he combined Matte Chic ($39) in Marisa, a petal pink, with Matte Chic ($39) in Suzy, a glamorous blush nude.
3. To finish her glowing look, Beau focused golden highlighter from limited edition Les Paillettes ($79) on Kate’s cupid bow.

Givenchy 2018 Rouge Couture Edition
Givenchy 2018 Rouge Couture Edition has officially launched, and it includes their best sellers Le Rouge Lipstick in N315 Framboise ($40 for 0.12oz) and Prisme Libre Loose Powder in N01 Mousseline Pastel ($60 for 0.42 0z). Both products are encased in a Limited Edition genuine leather couture case that's dressed in a floral pattern.

Givenchy 2018 Rouge Couture Edition
For this Spring, the theme for Givenchy seems to be lush moody florals I say moody cause the black background against the floral patterns gives off a dark vibe. I love the packaging and I wanted to learn more about the collection, but there was not enough information available. So, I did a little research, and I came across Givenchy 2013 Ready-to-Wear collection, which had similar floral prints. The floral patterns are almost identical but the Givenchy 2018 Rouge Couture Edition has more vibrant colors, and the flowers are slightly different. I'm not sure if the 2013 collection were the main inspiration for this recent Couture collection, but there is some resemblance. I have collected a few images from Vogue so you can have a look.

Givenchy 2018 Rouge Couture Edition
Now that we have learned a little about the Givenchy 2018 Rouge Couture Edition collection let's talk about the products. Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder in N01 Mousseline Pastel is an iconic loose powder that helps achieve a mattified yet radiant complexion. This is a fusion of four complimentary, complexion refining shades that together, create a made-to-measure, color correcting finish. There are five shades available, but only N01 comes in the limited edition packaging. Prisme Libre Loose Powder is housed in a sturdy, thick plastic jar, twist to unlock the top and inside you'll find a soft powder puff. The signature logo screen releases the perfect amount of each shade, allowing you to easily blend colors together for a sheer natural result. N01 Mousseline Pastel powder has a mix of pastel green, blue, lilac, and a creamy white shade. This powder is finely milled, it has a silky smooth texture, it's exceptionally lightweight, and it sets your foundation and concealer without any caking or creasing. I have a travel size of this powder (review here) which I really like, but during summer when I get a tan this shade is a bit light for me. Although it's almost transparent, during summer, when I'm much darker you can tell I used a powder that's too light for my complexion which is not so flattering. I do love the consistency of this powder it really helps give you a smooth base, it doesn't cling to any dry patches and it did a pretty good job at keeping the oil at bay. For someone with my skin tone, I would prefer the shade 2 or 3 but if you have pale to medium light skin tone, N01 should be a great match for you. This Powder is lightly scented I kind of like the fresh scent, it's not too overpowering, and it dissipates quickly.

Givenchy 2018 Rouge Couture Edition
Givenchy 2018 Rouge Couture Edition Lipstick in N315 Framboise is a bright raspberry semi-matte shade. Le Rouge lipsticks are lightweight, highly saturated with intense yet wearable pigments, and the formula has a soft buttery texture that glides on the lips like a dream. I'm a huge fan of Givenchy lipsticks the luxurious leather packaging is to die for. The comfortable, long wearing, velvety, and the ultra-smooth formula doesn't dry out my lips. Despite the creamy texture, it didn't smudge or bleed I didn't use a lipliner and it was very easy to outline my lips. N315 Framboise is not a new shade however it is new to me. I'm not a big fan of bright berry shade lipsticks and even though this shade is very Spring appropriate, this isn't something I would normally reach for. I would say this lipstick is more of a collector item, for me at least, but If you're someone who loves rocking bold, bright pink lipsticks then you'll definitely love this. Framboise started fading after 4-5 hours, and it left a light pink stain behind. This lipstick is also lightly scented but once applied it's almost undetectable.

Givenchy 2018 Rouge Couture Edition

Givenchy 2018 Rouge Couture Edition Lipstick in N315 Framboise
Final Verdict:
This collection was a hit and miss for me the beautiful packaging is definitely a hit, but I wish the powder and lipstick had more shades to choose from so that way everyone would feel included. If you read my previous review of the Prisme Libre Loose Powder then you know how much I like that product it doesn't accentuate dry spots or set in fine lines and a little goes long way so one jar will last you a long time. The packaging also makes this powder very travel-friendly. Since summer is coming up and I will get much darker so I was thinking of purchasing the shade 2 and giving it a try. As for the lipstick, it's simply beautiful, but I'm more of nude or coral lipstick type-of-gal so its a nay for me.
What are your thoughts on the collection? Is it a yay or a nay? Feel free to leave a comment below I would love to hear your thoughts.

Chantecaille Philanthropy Cheek Shades

There are a total of six philanthropy cheek shades and it retails for $40 for .08 oz. I already own Elephant from a previous release and I truly adore that blush. All six shadows are coming back and they're here to stay! These blushes are embossed with conservation effort it supports, from Monarch butterflies to wild horses. The blushes are cased in an adorable pebble-like mirrored compact. It's formulated with finely milled pigments that contribute to exquisite colors and it has a featherweight texture. The texture is incredible, it's so easy to blend and the shades are perfect for everyday looks. Some might say these aren't highly pigmented but I believe Chantecaille is a brand that aims for a natural, simple yet put together looks. So with that being said, the pigmentation is just enough. You won't have to worry about overdoing it since you can never look overdone with these blushes. The shades range from light pinks to corals and it gives you a beautiful natural, flushed cheeks look.
- Smitten-Elephant- a soft peachy coral shade.
- Bliss-Butterfly- a light pastel pink.
- Grace-Sea Turtle- a warm tone apricot. (my favorite)

Chantecaille Lip Chic Lip Color
Lip Chic retails for $38 for .07 oz is a revolutionary hybrid that combines the rich, even coverage of a lipstick with the high shine and plumping effect of a gloss. As I've mentioned in the past few posts, recently I've been reaching for more glosses and loving a satin finish lipstick more than a matte finish. So these lipsticks have been on rotate since I've gotten my hands on them. The consistency is ultra soft, creamy, hydrating, doesn't settle into the lines and it's very comfortable on the lips. The finish is not opaque it's a bit sheer but I don't mind it since I always line my lips with a lip liner prior to any lipstick application. It lasted about 3-4 hours before it started fading and it did leave a light stain behind. I think these three shades will look lovely on fair to medium skin tones.
Ingredients:
Polybutene, diisostearyl malate, hydrogenated polyisobutene, polyethylene, vp/hexadecene copolymer, microcrystalline wax (cera microcristallina), dicalcium phosphate, mica, ethyl vanillin, pentaerythrityl tetra-di-t-butyl hydroxyhydrocinnamate, phospholipids, flavor (aroma), hyaluronic acid, saccarmonyces cerevisiae extract, sodium chondroitin sulfate, tocopherol, tripeptide-29, bht, tin oxide [+/-: iron oxides (ci 77491/ci 77492/ci 77499), titanium dioxide (ci 77891), red 6/red 6 lake/ red 7 lake (ci 15850), red 27/red 27 lake /red 28 lake (ci 45410), red 21 lake / red 22 lake (ci 45380), red 30 lake (ci 73360), red 33 lake (ci 17200), blue 1 lake (ci 42090), yellow 5 lake (ci 19140), yellow 6 lake (ci 15985), yellow 10 lake (ci 47005), manganese violet (ci 77742), bismuth oxychloride (ci 77163)] (limonene, citral)

Final Verdict:
I hope the swatches will give you an idea of the shades and finishes of the products. Let's start with the eyeshadow palette which I always look forward to but this year I wasn't impressed with the longevity and the performance of the shadows. I do like the formula but it's not up to par with some of Chantecaille's previous annual eyeshadow palettes. If you're someone who enjoys a sheer wash of color you'll love this eyeshadow palette. Also, the shades will work great for very fair to light skin tones. On my medium, to tan skin, I find it can be a bit hard to work with and that is why I have to use another palette to give it a bit dimension. I do however LOVE the eyeliner the quality is superb it's honestly one of the best performing eyeliner I've used thus far. The blushes and lipsticks are something worth checking out I know the Bee blush is very popular and it's sold out pretty much everywhere. My top picks are Jasper, Hyacinth, and Grace-Sea Turtle cheek shade.
I recently attended a very intimate Chantecaille event, we got to hear Sylvie speak about the brand. Her passion for the brand and how she gives back to the environment through the brand was very inspiring. I commend Chantecaille for thinking of the animals all while keeping their customers best interest in mind. I truly enjoyed learning so much about Chantecaille it was a remarkable experience.
