Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator Ingredients

Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator

I was very excited when I received this uniquely packaged Marc Jacobs highlighter, I immediately started testing it out. It's housed in a palm-shaped case with a twist roll up dial, kind of like a deodorant, which makes this stick highlighter very travel-friendly. Spotlight Glow Stick contains both silver and gold pearls, this glow stick imparts universal glow which  flatters both warm and cool skin tones. The first thing I noticed once I applied this stick highlighter, is that it creates the most gorgeous gleaming youthful glow on the skin. The formula is creamy, silky smooth, and very blendable it doesn't feel sticky it just glides on like butter. This highlighter doesn't emphasize on your pores, it gives your face a soft, fresh, natural dewy glow. I use my finger to apply this instead of using the stick straight onto my skin. With any cream or stick highlighters, using a finger to gently dab and blend with your fingertips is the best way to distribute the product without wiping off the foundation. I use this on my cheekbones, brow bones, and cupids bow, you can apply it on the bridge of your nose but since that's where I tend to get oily I skip that part. This highlighter is quite pigmented, so a little goes a long way it's also very long lasting, It lasted about good 8-9 hours.

Overall
As you can see, on me it shows up more of cool tone and since this is a universal highlighter it will show up different depending on your skin tone. However keep in mind anyone can wear this highlighter due to the  unique formula. On the picture above I swatched quite heavily but once applied it doesn't look frosty or glittery it just gives your skin a soft illuminating glow. You can apply this sheer or layer it, without it looking too oily or shimmery. I must admit, I didn't expect to like this highlighter as much as I did. I highly recommend this highlighter, I'm packing Spotlight with me for my upcoming vacation, so no more broken powder highlighters for me!

Lune+Aster
Where To Purchase: Bluemercury

“For years, my time-starved friends have asked me which makeup products they should use and how to apply them. With this in mind, I created a quick, easy line that takes the guesswork out of makeup application and gets you out the door looking polished in minutes. Meet lune+aster.” - Marla Malcolm Beck (CEO and Co-Founder of Bluemercury).

Lune+Aster Kona Baked Bronzer and Stratosphere Volumizing Mascara

Bluemercury is one of my favorite cosmetics stores, I've been shopping there for years, and when I heard they're launching a new beauty line, I was all ears. Lune+Aster is all about quick and easy application hence the keyword "Go" in all four categories: Prep + Go, Protect + Go, Bronze + Go and Swipe + Go. Makeup steps that are not very time-consuming? Yes, I'm all about that! This line is paraben free, gluten free, dermatology tested and it's cruelty-free. Lune+Aster products are vitamin-infused, packed with clean treatment ingredients, which is perfect for sensitive skin. I had the pleasure of testing out three products, I'm reviewing two products today so let's get to it!

Lune+Aster Kona Baked Bronzer

Lune+Aster Kona Baked Bronzer $32- This is an ultra smooth baked bronzer, with a soft sheen finish. It's housed in a sturdy compact with the Lune+Aster logo on top. The light and dark swirl creates the perfect shade that's great for everyday use. At first, I was skeptical of this bronzer not showing up on me but once applied. It did give my skin a soft, subtle glow. I think this bronzer will look great on lighter skin tone If you're darker than NC40 it won't show up on you. Another thing,  I like about this bronzer is I can go heavy handed with this bronzer without it looking too muddy. This was very easy to blend, and it lasted about 6-7 hours, Kona is $32 for 0.3 oz. And it's available in Bluemercury

Lune+Aster Stratosphere Volumizing Mascara

Lune+Aster Stratosphere Volumizing Mascara $20-  I have flat thin lashes It's almost impossible for me to find a mascara that works on my stubborn flat lashes. This mascara is supposed to be volumizing, lengthening and make your lashes look full and lush. I have been using this mascara every day, and I quite like it, it is almost as good as my HG Chanel Le Volume mascara. I love that it doesn't flake, it didn't irritate my sensitive eyes, doesn't clump up, and you only need two coats of mascara to achieve the full long lash look. Even though it's not waterproof it didn't smudge even in hot weather, Stratosphere Volumizing mascara is $20 for 0.33 oz, and it is available in Bluemercury

Overall
I love the concept of the Lune+Aster products, it's very quick and easy to apply. Which is great for moms like me who's always on the go. I definitely recommend you check out this new line in Bluemercury, the mascara quickly became one of my favorites, and I will definitely repurchase it. As for the bronzer, I think it would be a perfect option for those with fair skin, and I hope Lune+Aster will add more shades to choose from in the future. On the picture, I have the Stratosphere Volumizing Mascara on and the Kona Baked Bronzer with Estee Edit Barest Blush (review here). Another item I would like to recommend is the Moon Rise Glow & Contour Bronzing Palette, I purchased this palette a few weeks ago, and I can't wait to review it! Have you tried any products from Lune+Aster? If so, please let me know what your thoughts on them are.

I think when it comes makeup products Lipsticks are one item that I love to collect along LE blushes. Today I want to share 5 Lipsticks that are my absolute must haves! These lipsticks are amazingly pigmented, long lasting and very comfortable on the lips. When I say " Lipsticks You need To Try Now" I'm not referring to a specific shade more of an overall performance of these lipsticks. Now without further ado, let's get started.

Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipsticks- When it comes Tom Ford he can do no wrong, I love his makeup line especially the Lips & Boys lipsticks. These are a mini version of the regular Tom Ford lipsticks its much more affordable, tons of shades to choose from, it's perfect for carrying in your makeup bag or clutch. I must admit as much as I love Tom Ford lipsticks some can go rancid like the Sable Smoke for one, I repurchased that lipstick many times and each time it went bad within months. I also noticed its mostly the nude TF lipsticks that are going bad, rest are still smelling pleasant. With that being said, I own quite a few of the Lips & Boys lipsticks and so far none of them went bad and since the size is much smaller than a full-size TF lippies you'll end up using them up rather quickly. My favorite one is Addison, which I couldn't feature here today cause it's almost done and what's left of it won't photograph very well haha. You can go with any shades from the TF Lips & Boys line they have pinks, coral, nudes, reds so it caters to everyone's needs.

Charlotte Tilbury K.i.s.s.i.n.g Lipstick- When Charlotte Tilbury Launched her line in the US I knew I had to have three items from the line, It was this lipstick Bitch Perfect and two of the eyeshadow quads. I quickly fell in love with her lipsticks I love the Mattes (Review here) as well, both Kissing and Matte Revolution lipsticks are very pigmented and comfortable on the lips. Another favorite of mine is the Hepburn Honey lipstick from the Kissing lipstick line. CT lipsticks definitely stand out more in her entire makeup line at least for me, I prefer them over her other makeup products.

YSL Rouge Volupte Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick- I still remember the day when I purchased my very first YSL lipstick, I was very overwhelmed with so many choices then I ended up going with the shade #3 Ultimate Beige. Well here I am years later and I still love this shade and repurchased it a few times, I love the Silky Sensual Radiant line more than the other ones. All though I'm not a big fan of the strong scent in this lipstick, it's the formula that won me over. It just glides on your lips like butter and it's very pigmented too and I must point out the gorgeous packaging that I don't mind seeing on my vanity. I also love the new Oil-in-Stick lipsticks those are a must have as well, I did a review a while back on this particular shade you can check it out here

Christian Louboutin Velvet Matte Lip Colour- I love CL shoes so when they launched a beauty line I was all over it, I immediately purchased two Matte Velvet lipstick. I have nothing but good things to say about this brand, they really got the formula down to a T not to mention the gorgeous packaging. I only have the Velvet Matte lipsticks but I heard the Silky Satin and Sheer Voile lipsticks are just as good. I'm very excited about their new collection which I'm sure they'll sell out just like some of the lipsticks did. Christian Louboutin lipstick are definitely worth the splurge, I did a review on the two shades I own you can check it out here.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick- This is the lipstick I reach for when I don't have any makeup Its like a lip balm with some colour. It's very glossy hence the name, I own a few shades but Etourdie is my favorite out of them all. Overall this is a great lipstick its sheer yet lightly pigmented, it's non-drying and you can never go wrong with Chanel.

Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did. If you have any top picks please let me know in a comment below, I would love to hear all about it.

Summer Glow With Pur Cosmetics
Where To Purchase: Ulta, Dermstore

Pur Cosmetics

Pur Cosmetics is a new brand for me so when I received a few products for review purposes, I was very excited about it. I'm reviewing a few of the products today, I will list them down below:

Pur Cosmetics Hydra Fluid Water Serum Foundation, Correcting Primer Illuminate & Glow, Pressed Powder

Pur Cosmetics Hydra Fluid Water Serum Foundation Ingredients

Pur Cosmetics Correcting Primer Illuminate & GlowThis primer preps your face for smooth makeup application with nourishing ingredients like Shea butter and vitamin A. Pur Cosmetics Correcting primer adds a instant glow to dry dull dehydrated skin and It minimizes the appearance of pores. It contains Shea butter, mica and silver ear extract which helps hydrate your skin and give it a healthy glow with a smoother dewy soft finish. The texture of this primer is very light and creamy, it does provide some hydration to the skin however I don't think this is a primer you should use on a daily basis. I always wanted to achieve a dewy glowy looking base and this primer is definitely a must if you like a dewy finish look. It applied evenly leaving my skin smooth and a little shiny, I noticed my foundation went on very smoothly and it didn't exaggerate any dry patches. I didn't notice any color correcting I don't think its meant for that, it just left my skin smooth and ready for a flawless foundation application. You can use this primer with powder foundation as well as liquid foundation. I have large pores and I tend to stick to something like the Benefit Porefessional and my HG Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and this one is a little too shimmery for my liking. Then again its great for days when you want to get that perfect glowy base, also it contains AHA which means you must wear a sunscreen while using this primer. I personally could do without the AHA in my primers but this is a brand that focuses on skincare that goes into your everyday makeup. In conclusion this is a great primer for all skin and specially for those who loves a beautiful glowing skin.

Pur Cosmetics Hydra Fluid Water Serum Foundation- This is a new foundation from Pur Cosmetics which is meant for dry dehydrated skin, acne prone skin, mature skin, sensitive, oily and normal skin. Its packaged in a tube with a clear tip, I love the packaging its very easy to use and it allows you to avoid any mess. I usually shy away from dewy/glowy foundations cause they never worked for me in the past due to my combination oily skin. My skin have been dry lately since I started using Retin-A so this was the perfect time to put this foundation to test. This foundation is formulated with a water complex sourced from Swiss Alps, it delivers your skin with long lasting hydration. It is also formulated with Ceretin Complex and Vitamin E, these ingredients helps smooth, firm, nourish and deeply hydrate your skin. For the past two weeks I've been testing this foundation and I immediately fell in love with the light weight, silky smooth texture. It has a watery consistency like the Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation ( Review here ). The thing I love most about this Water Serum foundation is that it blends very easily giving you almost a skin like finish, which makes this foundation perfect for everyday look. This foundation have light to medium coverage and I prefer that when it comes to foundations, this can be layered without being too cakey. I did use a concealer, this alone didn't do much for my dark circles and also it didn't oxidize on me. This foundation comes in five shades Light, Medium, Tan, Dark and Deep.  I received the shade Medium which was teeny bit peachy on me so I have to get the shade Tan and mix them together for a perfect match. For a light coverage foundation the wear time of this foundation kind of impressed me, I got a total of 8-9 hours of wear.

Pur Cosmetics 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 15

Pur Cosmetics 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 15- This Pressed Mineral Powder is a another winner in my book, it has great coverage, its lightweight, blends easily and its very long lasting. This powder is packaged in a thick compact and I have a bad habit of dropping things, I've already dropped this twice and somehow it survived! You can wear this powder alone or use it to set a liquid foundation. On days I feel lazy and I want minimal makeup on my face I reach for powder foundations and this is a perfect option for that. This Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation comes in eleven shades, I received the shade Tan, this is a pretty good match it will be even a better match now, since I tend to get a little dark during summer time. I also received a Powder Brush which I didn't get the chance to use due to me being lazy, I didn't get the chance to wash it. I used a Sonia Kashuk flat top brush to buff out the powder and I did notice some products kick up. It didn't cling on to any dry patches it just left my skin with a subtle matte finish while covering my imperfections. This would be ideal for oily skin as well as dry skin, just be sure to prep your skin well.

Pur Cosmetics Browder Perfecting Brow Powder

Pur Cosmetics Browder Perfecting Brow Powder

Pur Cosmetics Browder Perfecting Brow Powder- This Brow Powder is meant to give you a effortless natural look to your sparse uneven brows. Browder Brow powder comes in three shades Blonde, Medium Brown, Brunette. I received the shade Medium Brown, its a perfect shade for me however I don't think the packaging is very realistic. The product itself is really good its very pigmented, blends easily, long-lasting, gives your brows a natural look but the powder goes all over when you pull the applicator out. I figured out a way to avoid fallouts on my face, I take the applicator out on top of a tissue that way it falls on the tissue and then I use a angle brush to apply the powder, after that I lightly go over my brows with the applicator. Overall this Brow Powder is pretty good but I just wish it wasn't so hard to work with, I'm hoping Pur Cosmetics will change the packaging in the future.

Overall
I'm really impressed with Pur Cosmetics products, The Water Serum Foundation and The Pressed Mineral Powder are both a hit. The top picture is taken with flash and the bottom is without flash, I didn't notice any flashback which is a plus and the brow powder did give my brows a soft natural look. All the products contains AHA along with other ingredients that's beneficial to your skin so if you're looking for a makeup line that contains skincare benefits then look no farther, Pur Cosmetics got you covered. "An overnight facial cream that moisturizes for smoother-looking, hydrated skin."

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream

I've been on a skincare kick lately as I'm getting older I've realized, taking care of my skin will only help me on the long run. I started using a Retin-A cream recently and my skin went from oily to dry and parched! Which I didn't mind at first to be honest I have dealt with oily skin all my life so this is was nice change believe it or not. After a few days, I realized I need something soothing and moisturizing for my skin cause I was going through the peeling phase at that time. That's when I came across this gem! I always loved First Aid Beauty products, my all time favorite product is the Instant Oatmeal Mask, I even got my mom, sister and friends hooked on that mask as well. I finished two deluxe size sample tubes of this Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream before purchasing the full size jar. The consistency of this cream is thick but doesn't feel heavy on the skin, it does look a little oilyish but I love how it hydrates my skin within just one application. Keep in mind a little goes a long way with this product, this does contain Shea Butter so I apply a thin layer but for those with very dry skin you can apply a second layer. I have very sensitive skin and I was a little hesitant at first because of the thick rich consistency but surprisingly it didn't cause any breakouts. What I most love about this product is how my skin looks when I wake up in the morning it feels soft, plumped, hydrated, overall my skin just looks and feels better. Some nights I pair this Sleeping Cream with the Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum and the result is just as good if not better! This Sleeping Cream is free of Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates, Its also allergy tested and free of artificial fragrances.

Overall
This Sleeping Cream really helped my skin, specially with the changes my skin was going through due to the Retin-A cream. I was layering night cream, serum, oil and nothing helped like this cream did, this would be ideal for all skin. I didn't notice any firming but it did help with the dry patches, smoother looking skin and moisturized my skin immensely and that's exactly what I was looking for. I think this a great product which is also affordable and it can be used all year around, you can pair it with your favorite serum or use it alone and wake up to smoother appearance. Givenchy Les Saisons Healthy Glow Bronzer Extreme Saison

Givenchy Les Saisons Healthy Glow Bronzer Extreme Saison

Givenchy Description
Poudre Bonne Mine, based of new-generation technology, the formula is a baked gel which transform into powder when applied. The Healthy Glow Powder naturally enhances the skin color. Its a daily indulgence that gives the complexion a perfectly "nude-skin effect" and healthy glow, thanks to its totally weightless texture, without any powder veil.

Givenchy Les Saisons Healthy Glow Bronzer Extreme Saison

Summer is right around the corner and with that being said, its raining bronzers! Every brand is launching great bronzers and I happened to stumble upon this gorgeous Givenchy bronzer. I have very few Givenchy beauty products in my collection so I wasn't sure what to expect but I took my dear friend Bubblymichelle's advice and went for it. The star embossed powder had me swooned not to mention the beautiful soft gold tint it has which will give you that perfect radiance. This Bronzer is housed in a sleek black compact, with the rose gold Givenchy logo on top. There are total of  five shades, three of them are bronzers and two which can be worn as a highlighter/blush, I purchased the darkest shade, 04 Extreme Saison. The texture is very light just like Givenchy promised, it feels extremely soft and blends very well, its nicely pigmented and although its shimmery there isn't any chunky glitter. In the description they mentioned it can be used to contour but I don't see myself using this for contouring, however if you're light skin this will be a great option for you. For me the sole purpose of this powder is to give me that healthy glow, this Givenchy Healthy Glow Bronzer is free of talc and parabens.

Givenchy Les Saisons Extreme Saison & Mac Cosmetics Refined Golden Bronzer

Givenchy Les Saisons Extreme Saison & Mac Cosmetics Refined Golden Bronzer

I don't own a lot of bronzer, that's cause most of them turns orangeish on my NC40 skin tone, one of my favorite is the Benefit Hoola Bronzer I've been hooked on that for years. The only dupe I can find in my stash is this Mac Cosmetics Refined Golden bronzer, which looks a bit orangeish next to Givency Extreme Saison. Needless to say I barely reach for the Mac Refined Golden bronzer due to the orange hue. So I'm really happy to have found a nice bronzer that gives me the perfect sun kissed glow.

Overall
This is a great bronzer, specially for those who has lighter skintone and because of the weightless formula, you can even get away with layering this bronzer without it being muddy or patchy. I just wish they'd create more darker shades, for women of color cause if you're NC43 or more then this wont work as a bronzer, which is very disappointing but it may work as a highlighter due to the lovely gold sheen. What I mostly love about this powder is how well it blends and the silky satiny texture, its a must have for all bronzer lovers! Have you tried this bronzer yet? If so, please let me know what you think of it on a comment below.
