blendSMART Foundation Brush
BlendSMART is a rotating makeup brush, which claims to blend your makeup evenly and effortlessly and it gives a natural-looking result while using less of your favorite makeup. I'm always on the hunt for the next best gadget so I was very excited to have received this interesting brush for review purposes. I must admit I was skeptical at first but after I put this brush to test I realized, this is a pretty handy little brush. I had no problem installing the battery it was a very quick and easy process. To prepare this brush to use, unscrew the bottom cap insert the battery + side into the compartment and screw on the cap. Before you install the brush head make sure the on/off switch is off, insert the brush head into the handle until the brush head clicks into place. When it comes to foundation brushes I don't prefer duo fiber brushes, that's cause I'm used to using flat top kabuki brush for applying foundations. However this brush did live up to my expectations, it blended my foundation seamlessly and the best part is it didn't take no more than a minute. You can use blendSMART with both powder and liquid foundations, I used my favorite Makeup Forever HD foundation. I dotted some foundation onto my face and moved the brush up and down and side to side, within a minute my foundation was blended. I used this to apply light and heavy foundations and each time it blended my foundation flawlessly. For everyday look I prefer a light layer of foundation and blendSMART definitely helps me achieving that natural skin like finish. This brush does feel a little heavy than your regular foundation brushes but since it does a fantastic job on blending foundation in very little time, I don't find the weight a big issue. I have already washed the foundation brush head twice, it was very easy to get the foundation out of the bristles and it didn't shed at all
Overall
This brush performed really well, I use less foundation with this brush, it cuts back foundation application time in half and I love the air brush finish it gave me. One con about this brush is the light buzzing sound, its not very loud but some might find it a bit irritating. One brush head is recommend to use up to 6 months to a year but I'm sure with care you can use it a little longer. I'm really impressed with this brush and I hope they'll come out with a flat top kabuki brush in the future.
